1. INTRODUCTION
Promo Code is a feature developed for TableCheck. This feature helps manage reservations with codes that offer discounts or are valid for a limited period. It also enables restaurants to measure the effect of each code.
If enabled, a guest while making a booking on TableCheck can enter a Promo Code (that he/ she has obtained in advance). Restaurant staff can also add a Promo Code for a reservations created on the Manager system, on behalf of diners.

2. PREREQUISITES
Your Account Manager needs to enable Promo Code in the Master Settings. Please get in touch with your Account Manager or Support Team if you want to use this feature.
3. SPECIFIC PROCEDURE
3.1 Adding a Promo Code
Step 1: Log into Settings and click on Promo Codes
Step 2: Click on New Promo Code or Please create a new Promo Code.
Step 3: Enter the details in Basic and in Res. Rules tab as necessary and click Create Promo Code
The new created Promo Code is as shown below:
3.2 Promo Code on TableCheck
If Promo Code is enabled on TableCheck, a guest can enter a Promo Code on the Confirmation Page of TableCheck.
a. If the Promo Code is not valid
In case the entered Promo Code is not valid, the diner will see an error as shown below:
b. If the Promo Code is valid
If the diner enters a valid promo code, a tick mark against the Promo Code and its description (that was entered in Settings) will be displayed.
The entered Promo Code can then be seen in Reservation Details in the Manager system
3.3 Promo Code on the Manager system
A Promo Code can also be entered while creating a manual reservation on the Manager system.
Step 1: In the Reservation Form, click on the Promo Code
Step 2: Select the desired Promo Code (only the active ones will be available for selection).
Step 3: Save the reservation as usual.
A reservation with Promo Code is shown on the Manager system with a brown “P” icon as shown below.
3.4 Promo Code Search
To search for reservations with Promo Code(s), follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go to All Reservations
Step 2: Select the duration and other details as required. From the Promo Code drop-down, select the desired filter for searching reservations with Promo Code(s).
All Promo Codes are selected in the example below.
Note: Selecting All would also select the Expired Promo Codes.
Step 3: Click on Click to Search to view reservations with Promo Codes.
Below is the list of reservations with Promo Codes.
The searched results can also be exported to an Excel/ CSV file as shown below.
3.5 Promo Code in Reports
a. Daily Report
The Promo Code is also shown in Daily Report. Generate the report in one/ more formats like shown below.
The Promo Code is displayed in the Res Memo field.
b. Monthly Report
There is a separate tab for Promo Code in the Monthly Report Excel File.
