Door waitlist feature gives an opportunity to your customers to add themselves to the restaurant's waiting list by scanning a QR code with their device. Your staff can send a SMS to customers when the table is ready.
Setting up
1. Enter Waitlist Policy
Go to Venue Settings, and enter the Waitlist Policy under Online tab.
2. Select Waitlist Open Time & Waitlist Closed Time on Sheet
Go to Sheet Settings and select the appropriate time from the drop down for the 2 fields. Also make sure to check Enable Online Waitlist.
Note: If you don't select the Waitlist Open Time & Waitlist Close Time, the sheet start & end time will be followed by default.
3. Set up Door Waitlist Registration Page Link
Go back to Venue Settings, and scroll to the bottom of the Online tab. The Door Waitlist Page URL is automatically created, click the copy button and paste it on your venue homepage.
You can also create a QR code for the URL and display it at the venue reception.
Registering on Door Waitlist
1. The customer accesses the Door Waitlist URL via venue homepage or QR code. After reading the Waitlist Policy, the guest clicks Confirm and Continue.
2. The next page shows the number of parties in the Waitlist. The customer can now enter the details and complete the registration process by clicking Join the Waitlist.
