Seat Categories allow you to link tables/seats to specific menu items. Reservations for menu items in a certain category will be assigned to seats within the same category.

・The "Edit Seat Category" permission is required to set up this function. Please set this function with an account that has the permissions to do so.
・Please note that if a seat category is created, reservations cannot be accepted unless tables are assigned to the seat category. If your venue has the following "No table" alert, please refer to the following article to set up the Seat Category.
1. On TableCheck Settings, go to Menus and select Seat Categories under it.
2. Click the New Seat Category button to create a new category, the Edit button to edit a category, or the Copy button to duplicate an existing category.
3. Enter information in the below fields. Click Create when done.

Selecting Seat Category in Table Settings
Please set the seat category for all table layouts you are currently using.
To select a seat category for tables, go to Table Settings -> Edit Table(s)
After selecting seat categories, please check the Table List again. The seat category selected for each table should be displayed as shown below.

Go to Menu Settings -> Edit Menu Item
Selecting Category on TableCheck will narrow down the menu items displayed.
1. Go to Venues under Venues on the left panel. Click the cogwheel icon for the venue you want to enable Seat Categories for.
2.Under Online tab, scroll down to find the field Seat Category Selection. Select Optional or Required based on your operations' requirements.
