This article describes how you can control the number of people and/or number of reservations arriving or within your restaurant at any given time by using pace rules.
Setting up
1. On TableCheck Settings, select Operations and then select Pace Rules on the left panel.
Note: Pace Rules setting is only accessible to users with the respective role permission. |
2. Click New Pace Rule.
3. Enter the number of groups and/or the number of people from the drop down list as desired and click Create Pace Rule.
Pace Rule Name: Give your pace rule a name to easily identify it.
Interval Duration: Verify this against the online reservation time interval on your TableCheck page.
Capacity Groups/ Capacity People: You may indicate the maximum number of bookings or people that can present in your shop at any given time.

Note: Capacity number refers to number of diners present in the shop at any particular time, regardless of the time of their booking. Set the capacity at the base selection to apply the setting to all times, and set the capacity at individual time slots to apply the setting to specific times. |
Start Groups / Start People: You may indicate the maximum number of bookings or people that can make a reservation at any given time.
Points to remember: 1. Online reservations made via TableCheck will be controlled by the pace rules. 2. It is possible to set the pace rule as mandatory for manual reservations as well. 3. It is possible to disable the warning message as well. 4. Pace Rules work only if they are applied to a sheet. Click here to know how to apply a pace rule to a sheet. |
