Guest Notice is a feature that enables you to display a message on the reservation confirmation screen on a given date and send SMS and/or email to customers who have a reservation on that day.
You can use it when there is something you want to inform your customers who are due to visit your restaurant or if the restaurant needs to be shut urgently and suddenly due to unavoidable circumstances.

1. Creating/ sending a New Notice
Step 1: On TableCheck Manager, select Guest Notices from the Hamburger menu.
Step 2: Click Create Guest Notice.
Step 3: Enter desired values for the shown parameters.
1. Date: The date for which the notice has to be displayed.
2. Notify Guests (Email/ SMS): Check this box if you want to send notifications to the guests via SMS and/ or emails.
If this box is checked, the notice will not only be posted on the reservation confirmation page, all your guests with reservations on that day will also receive SMS/ email regarding the notice. In case you don't want to notify your guests, leave the box unchecked so that the notice is only displayed on the reservation confirmation page and no SMS/ email is sent.
Please note that if a guest has both phone number & email ID on the profile, he/ she will receive both - SMS and email.
3. Cancel Reservations: Check this box if you want to cancel all reservations for the date selected.
When checked, the status of all reservations on that day will be changed to Deleted and the guests will receive email/ SMS to indicate that their reservations have been cancelled.
4. Refund/ Void Payments: Check this box if you want to refund payments and/or void authorizations as result of the cancellations.
5. Message: Enter the message that you want to display on the reservation confirmation page.
Kindly note that the message entered here is not the content of the SMS, however it is displayed in the body of the email.
A maximum of 4000 characters can be entered here.

The message entered in the Guest notice is displayed in the email sent to the guests as shown below.
While the message entered in the Guest notice is displayed in the email, the content of the SMS varies based on whether or not Cancel Reservations was checked above.

3. Guest Notice on Reservation Confirmation Page
If a notice is created on a given date, any new reservation for that day will also have the notice displayed on the reservation confirmation page.
4. Editing a Guest Notice
You can also edit the notice that has already been created and is displayed on the confirmation page without sending SMS / email to the customer .
Step 1: Go to Guest Notices and this time instead of creating a new one, enter the date whose notice you want to edit and hit Click to Search.
The existing notice will be displayed.
Click anywhere on the notice and edit the message as required and click Save.
If you also want to send SMS/ email to the guests, create a new notice again. The new notice will then override the older one.
5. Deleting a Guest Notice
If you want to delete a guest notice completely, search for the notice of the desired date and hit the Delete button.

7. FAQs
Q. Is it possible to receive replies from guests via this feature?
A. This feature can be used to only send SMS/ email, you cannot receive replies from guests.
Q. If I check Cancel Reservations, will all reservations be cancelled or it will depend on the booking source?
A. Regardless of the booking source, all bookings including those from third party booking websites will be sent SMS/ email. It is not possible to exclude specific guest(s) for these notices. Cancelled reservations will be excluded.
Q. Is there an extra cost for using this feature?
The feature itself is free however SMS sent will be charged at the usual rate depending on your country.
