Feature 1: Ability to exclusively stop Google reservations
Details:
You can now instantly stop reservations via Reserve with Google for specific dates or specific meal times.
The Reserve with Google feature only supports seat reservations and does not allow for course meal bookings. This can be limiting for restaurants that only offer course meals during certain periods, such as Christmas or peak seasons. Previously, the only way to manage this was to disable the Google Reservation connection for long periods, which could result in missed opportunities.
Now, with this new feature, you can block Google reservations for specific dates or meal times, giving you more control over your bookings while still offering availability during non-peak periods.
Below are some use cases in which you may stop Reserve with Google reservations:
For Venues Open on Christmas (December 24th):
- On December 24th, your TableCheck reservation page will only accept Christmas course bookings.
- The Reserve with Google feature will be disabled for the entire day to ensure that only course meal reservations are accepted.
For Venues Hosting a Dinner Event:
- On the day of your event, the TableCheck reservation page will accept regular reservations during lunch and event bookings during dinner.
- Reserve with Google will be available only for lunch and will be disabled during dinner.
Please note: 1. When you block Reserve with Google, the change will take effect immediately, and your availability will be hidden on Google. However when you re-enable Reserve with Google through TableCheck, it may take a few days for the availability to reappear on Google. 2. If you disable online bookings, Reserve with Google will also be automatically blocked. 3. You have the option to block only Reserve with Google while continuing to accept online reservations through TableCheck, or you can block both TableCheck online and Reserve with Google. However, it’s not possible to enable Reserve with Google without also enabling TableCheck online reservations. |
Feature 2: Alert Improvements
Details:
We have released a fix for situations where the alert sound fails to play.
Reservation Alerts is a feature that notifies you of same-day reservations with a bell icon and a notification sound on the TableCheck Manager screen. Additionally, you can receive notifications about reservations (including new bookings, changes, visits, and cancellations) via SMS or email.
Previously, the alert sound sometimes failed to play after logging into TableCheck or refreshing the page. To resolve this issue, we have introduced a pop-up message that will be displayed automatically if there is no activity for 10 seconds after logging in or refreshing the page. This popup is designed to verify and ensure that the alert sound functions correctly.
Please note that no special settings are required — the improvement is applied automatically upon login or refresh. Our goal is to ensure that important notifications are consistently delivered and that the alert sound functions reliably. |
