Development Background
In recent years, restaurant operations have become increasingly volatile and difficult to predict. Reservation trends and guest volumes fluctuate significantly due to various factors — not only seasonality or day-of-week patterns.
Until now, Insight has provided tools to analyze historical performance and understand “what happened.” However, we have received consistent feedback from restaurants asking, “What will happen next?”
Key operational decisions — such as purchasing, staffing allocation, and promotional planning — heavily depend on the ability to anticipate future demand. To address this need, we have developed a new forecasting feature that leverages accumulated reservation and visit data to project future trends.
This feature is not designed to definitively predict the future, but rather to serve as a reliable reference indicator that supports informed and proactive decision-making.
