The WhatsApp marketing tool is an extension of TableCheck's powerful EDM capabilities. You can design custom messages and send them to highly specific groups of guests using detailed filters based on guest behavior, preferences, and tags.
Sending marketing messages via WhatsApp is typically much more expensive than sending transactional messages, so make sure to be aware of how much it costs within your region as you consider your marketing strategy
This article covers the following topics:
Setting Up
1. In TableCheck Settings, select WhatsApp Marketing under Engagement.
2. Click the New Campaign button to begin creating a marketing message.
3. Once the below fields have been filled and your new campaign is ready to be saved, click on the Save button to save the changes.
Saving this campaign will automatically begin the review process by Meta.
This approval process can take up to 24 hours, and its status can be checked on the messages dashboard.
4. Statistics can be viewed by clicking the arrow on the right side of the campaign after they have been sent.
Campaign Name
|
Give your new Campaign a name that is easy to recognize. |
Sending Rules
|
Indicate the scheduled time or scheduled interval you would like this campaign to be sent. As a best practice, it is recommended to always select Do Not Send Yet when first creating a campaign.
This allows you to use the Send Test function after the template has been approved by Meta, so you can review everything from your own device and avoid issues when launching marketing campaigns. |
|
Content Editor
Click on the Open Editor button to begin.
Proceed to indicate the WhatsApp Sender you would like to use to send out your campaign for, as well as the language this campaign will be sent in.
Click on the +Add Section button to begin inputting the content of your campaign.
Each section represents a new message bubble on WhatsApp and can contain text, images or call-to-action (CTA) buttons.
Audience Filters
|
The Audience Filters control who receives your campaign messages. This is especially useful for targeted marketing. Should this be left blank, the campaign will be sent to all guests in your database who have been opted in to receiving marketing messages. |
Custom Auto-Reply
|
You can set up an automated response to be sent to guests if they attempt to respond to the marketing message from the Custom Auto-Reply section. As the WhatsApp integration does not support two-way messaging, we highly recommend that you set up an automated response so guests are aware when they attempt to contact you.
