Partial Payment

In addition to the basic Prepay and Preauthorization payment functions which allows you to charge diners the full menu price, the Partial Payment feature gives you the option of taking payments in partial amounts through a percentage of the order total, a fixed charge per reservation or per person.

Partial Payment Modes

Order Percent (%) This option gives you the ability to hold an x% of the current menu's price.

Example

Your set menu is $100, but you only want to preauthorize 20% of the menu for cancellation protection.

Table Fee (per Group) This option gives you the ability to charge a fixed per reservation charge on top of the order total.

Example

Your set menu is $100 per order, but you want to preauthorize an additional $250 per reservation for the use of our private room.

Cover Fee (per Pax) This option gives you the ability to charge a fixed per person charge in the event of last minute cancellations.

Cover Fee is useful in situations where you wish to collect a lower amount compared to the course price, on a per person basis.
It can also be applied onto menus that do not have any price (seat reservation menus).

Example ①

Your set menu is $100 per order, but you want to only preauthorize $20 per person as cancellation protection.

Example ②

You have created a seat only menu without any price, but you want to preauthorize $20 per person as cancellation protection.

Setting Up

Partial Payment can be applied on each menu individually.

1. Select the Menu setting by clicking on the Setup wheel icon located on the top right hand corner of the screen.

2. Click on the edit button of the menu you would like to apply the setting to.

3. Move to the Payments tab to find the Partial Payments setting.
